Welcome to the home of the Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra!
The Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra (CCSO) is a dynamic and inclusive ensemble that brings together talented musicians from all corners of Western New York. Comprised of students, teachers, lawyers, doctors, retirees and more, the orchestra provides a place for these individuals to express themselves through performing. Weekly rehearsals and performance opportunities provide the ensemble the chance to perform extraordinary pieces of music and contribute to an exceptional musical experience that highlights the collective talent we have here in Western New York.
On Sunday, March 1, the symphony will celebrate Black History Month by performing pieces written by notable African-American composers. Conductor & Music Director Tom Witakowski has selected pieces that highlight some wonderful works.
The symphony will also welcome our Principal Percussionist, and General Manager, Jonathan Hager who will be performing the Ney Rosauro "Concerto for Marimba and Chamber Orchestra."
Our concert we be at St. Andrew's Church, 34 Francis Ave, in Sloan. We will begin at 3 p.m. As always, our concerts are free. However, we do "pass the basket" to help the orchestra perform these wonderful works.
We look forward to seeing you there!
